This is a collection of interesting discussion threads that have appeared on Less Wrong.
Periodic threads
These special threads are created periodically. ('All' links lead to the latest thread as of July 26th, 2013. Rationality Quotes and Open Thread threads now have an automatically updating link on the main and discussion sections of LW, respectively, so will not be updated here.)
- Welcome to LessWrong! (July 2013): introduce yourself here if you are new
- Open Thread, July 1-15, 2013: posted fortnightly to collect "random" topics not deserving a whole post
- Rationality Quotes July 2013: posted monthly to collect quotes of interest
- What are you working on? February 2013: posted bimonthly for discussing users' current projects
- Media Thread, June 2013: posted monthly to collect recommendations/reviews for media (books, movies, anime etc)
- HPMoR Discussion thread, part 19: Chapter 88-89: posted sporadically for discussing the fanfic Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality
One-time threads
- Tell Us Your Rationalist Origin Story
- The Most Important Thing You've Learned, The Most Frequently Useful Thing, That You'd Tell All Your Friends (may be useful for finding interesting posts to read)
Technical
- Issues and bugs: use this bug tracker to raise issues about blog's underlying software (open-ended discussion of suggestions is more appropriate in open threads)
- Here is some information about contributing to the Less Wrong code base
