Talk:Wikipedia's list of cognitive biases
This is not systematization of blog posts, notability criteria are not met for most of the material here (old taxonomies are not necessarily useful). This is also just a copy of material from Wikipedia, what's the point of actually making this copy? I think it should be deleted, the same goes for Psychology Wiki's list of cognitive biases. Links to both could be placed in Bias or List of cognitive biases (a write-up of Category:Biases), but not content. --Vladimir Nesov 17:13, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- I don't understand what your objection is. The main purpose of this page was just to show which of the biases covered in Wikipedia don't have articles about them in this wiki yet. Links in green don't have wiki pages written for them yet.
- Still, if you really think this page should be deleted, then go ahead and delete it.
- Also, if there is already standard name for a bias or fallacy, then I would think it would be a better idea to use the standard name, rather than making up our own name. --PeerInfinity 19:34, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- The stated purpose of this wiki is to systematize the discussion on the blog, creating articles for concepts that are actually being discussed, and linking to the more useful posts. Encyclopedic coverage of standard taxonomies of biases is not the purpose of this wiki (most of them never enter the discussion), and this task was already accomplished elsewhere, in which case specifying a link should be enough, to point the interested readers to such a resource. --Vladimir Nesov 20:57, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
