I'll appreciate ideas on to get LW to work better for its members as a networking tool. One thing you can do is to post to your user page, like this, mentioning what sort of contacts you might be interested in.
E.g., http://wiki.lesswrong.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=User:JoshuaFox&action=edit (Replace JoshuaFox with your user name.)
Then click "Force reload from Wiki," at your lesswrong.com profile page.
