My name is Vadim Kosoy. Born in the USSR in 1983, immigrated to Israel in 1990. Married to the incredible Julia Raichman. Our son Amos was born in 2010 and our daughter Riva in 2016.
An autodidact with official education limited to a BSc in Math (Tel-Aviv University) and inofficial education including math (differential geometry, algebraic geometry, category theory…), physics (quantum field theory, general relativity, a little bit of string theory…), theoretical computer science (some complexity theory and a bit statistical learning theory), a bit chemistry and a bit molecular biology. Enjoy history (learned a lot from Wikipedia articles, mostly Western history between the 5th century and the 19th).
I worked since 2004 in the software industry, mostly in computer vision. Currently I work on FAI research about 50% of my time. You can find my FAI work on [agentfoundations](https://agentfoundations.org/submitted?id=7) and earlier stuff on [LessWrong](http://lesswrong.com/user/Squark/submitted/).
I’m active in the Tel-Aviv LessWrong meetup which btw is great, drop by if you’re in the area!
I will gladly answer most asks whether a question about math / science, a personal question or anything else.
