Welcome to Less Wrong
LessWrong has changed significantly over the years. Originally, it was centered around Eliezer Yudkowsky's daily blog posts on rationality, then saw rapid growth fueled by both discussion of the material and Yudkowsky's fiction. As it further matured, the community moved from mostly online discussion to mostly offline work. Some prominent organizations are showcased below:

Topics covered on LessWrong include modern cognitive science, the long-run future of humanity, metaethics, artificial intelligence, mathematics, economics, decision making, and a variety of other fields related to the study of rationality. The best introduction to the material on this website is a series of blogposts colloquially called "the sequences". These are written by the original founders of this site, and capture a good chunk of the ideas that were formed in this community. The first post is here.
